Weekend...

Well, my boy is gone for the weekend. I am sooo going to miss him! He is going to TNT. It's a district wide church competition for our teens. He is signed up for several different things. He was also going to play the guitar, but since mom can't go and tote everything...anywhoo. I hope he has a great time! He looks forward to this ALL year!


 Now that leaves me and my love alone for nearly 2 days...hmmm. Shall we enjoy the time alone. Why yes, yes we shall! Take out Chinese and True Grit on Netflix tonight! Snuggling up on the couch. Sounds heavenly!

How much more will they grow?!

My son turned 16 last week! Yikes! How did that happen? Anywhoo... I decided to take a picture of his feet, his size 13's BTW!! I have 2 brothers, both of whom are over 6' tall. One wears a 13 and the other a 14 in shoes. So is this indicative of how tall my son will be??? He is already 5'7"! We like to never found a pair of shoes to fit! Will special order sizes be in our future? Whew! Who knows? I just know he has a very solid foundation! LOL!

16 years ago today

16 years ago today you came into this world, 7lbs7oz. 19in" long. You were such a good baby right from the start! You have so much of your Dad in you. You certainly look like him! You are kind, funny, generous, and you love God! You want to serve Him! That makes me so proud! I pray you always stay centered in his will and stay modeled after your Dad, you couldn't pick better! I love you so very much! Happy Birthday Son!!

I am so glad I still have you!

‎7 years ago on this day the love of my life suffered multiple strokes...I was told not to expect him to make it through the night. He did but: He could barley see, could hardly talk, could not even sit in a chair independently, much less walk or feed himself. He had a 5 1/2 week hospital stay, therapy for 6 months. He never gave up, never quite trying. There were tears, but also lots of laughter, you see we are not the type to feel sorry for ourselves, so we laughed at ourselves instead!  7 years later, he is still teaching, walks with barley a noticeable limp and can see, talk, and certainly eat perfectly fine! All of this with Lots of hard work, prayers and the Grace of God! He is my true hero, to see what he has and continues to overcome daily!

What I do when I feel under the weather...

Here is what I usually do when I don't feel 100%. COLOR! Having the beginnings of an allergy attack, so after school was over this was what I did with the rest of my day. Have fun even sick!

Day 4 Twenty Twelve-365 in pictures and a crafty project.

Here is my day 4 and it is a craft project. I have been making lots of bookmarks lately. I made this one with Jillibean papers and By Lori Designs Digi stamp Puddle Jumper Ella's Umbrella...colored with copic markers. Don't you just love her little froggy friend!

Day 3- Twenty Twelve-365 in pictures

My morning routine consists of a cup of peppermint mocha coffee, devotions and my prayer journal. I do this everyday, except Sunday. We are so rushed to get to church. If I miss doing this, I don't feel like myself ALL day. Like I am missing something. Then I usually surf the web. If I have time before school.

I did it!

 Well I finally did it! I started a blog...just for me. Just for whatever my little brain wants. I am very excited! I will be adding some pics from the last few days from our Tewnty-twelve-365 in pictures from facebook.  Cover page

 Day 1- Micah and I watched all 3 Narnia Movies to start the new year! It was wonderful! Forgot just how awesome these movies were!

Day 2 Micah stood in the snow for me, but he would NOT smile, that's my TEENAGER!!
